Spileto, EWC 2017 Italy
Following the very different Finnish event and a not so good Spanish round the EWC riders have moved to the picturesque city of Spoleto in central Italy . The Italians love their motorbikes and wherever they go are embraced by the local populas. Spoleto will be no different. The local club have laid out 3 very good tests , a long Enduro test probably some 12 mins , a steep and off cambered MXn test and a very extreme extreme test. The latter will be particularly difficult for the youth riders but it may ride easier than it looks. Time will tell.

The practice track was busy today, it is short but bears some resemblance to the MX test if a lot less steep. Most of the fettling gets sorted today … admin and PR tomorrow.
There continues to be an opinion in the paddock that few like the new two class format with pressure coming to revert to the 3 class plus overall as previous. Will that happen is ? There are also rumours afoot that big names like husqvarna may ditch the ewc in favour of the euro championship if it continues as currently.
Whatever happens the EWC at Spoleto will be good.
