Work has started on what could be Ireland’s first Enduro cross track at the Limerick Off Road club’s MX track at Birdhill, Co. Limerick.
Permission was given by the club for an Enduro-x track to be built around one of the two tracks at the venue and so far the team of local Enduro riders have installed several man made obstacles and hope to complete the project and have the Enduro-x track open for Enduro riders to use for practice very soon. So far there is a rock section, a tyre section and a steep climb and descent on a sand banking already in place and there is more to follow!
Enduro-x has fast become the latest spectator friendly version of an off road sport, following on from Super-x and Arena Trials and is pulling in big crowds in the States and Europe.
