Jordan Scott continues to deliver impressive results at the Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship with first and second in the Under 23 SE2 at Llangrove, Monmouth on March 10/11

Following on from his impressive debut in the Under 23 class at the bitterly cold season opener in February, Scott again placed his Norman Watt Motorcycles KTM at the front of a hotly contested field of riders. Second in the Under 23 SE2 class at round three, Scott improved at round four to claim his first win of the series while also finishing fourth in Under 23 both days.

Hindered by a crash on the opening special test at round three, Scott found himself down the leader board and playing catch up. Beginning to find the fast paced course to his liking, he steadily worked his way to the front. Leading into the final test of the day he came within striking distance of finishing third in Under 23. With it all still to play for, he pushed too hard through a rocky riverbed and crashed hard. Remounting unharmed, he eventually finished his day fourth overall but second in Under 23 SE2.

Knowing a mistake free day at round four would be crucial to secure another strong result, Scott opted to maintain a safe speed during the early morning tests. Gaining confidence with each lap, he lifted his pace as the day progressed to claim a well-fought win in Under 23 SE2 while once again placing fourth overall in Under 23.

“I’m delighted to come away with a win this weekend”, said Jordan immediately after the race. “I felt very happy with my speed and could feel an improvement over the season opener last February. Unfortunately I made life a bit hard for myself early on Saturday with some costly mistakes. I recovered well from them but I pushed too hard on the final test trying to finish in third and paid the price for it.”

“Round four was a dream result for me,” confirmed Jordan. “I felt good all day and was able to race a mistake free day which helped me to get the Under 23 SE2 win. I’m happy with my progress so far but I’ve still some areas left to improve on. It’s really tough this year as the front guys in my class are pretty much full time riders and I’m effectively a privateer, but hopefully I can keep these results going at the next rounds. Thanks to everyone that’s supporting me – KTM, Norman Watt Motorcycles, PMP Motorsports, Enduro.ie, George Scott Builders, Thor, Gearne and Shoei.”

The 2012 Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship continues with rounds five and six on April 7/8.
