The organisers of the fifth round of the 2012 MAXXIS British Motocross Championship to be held at the world famous Desertmartin Grand Prix Circuit on 24th June, the Cookstown and District Motorcycle Club, are pleased to announce the entry of Gordon Crockard as one of their Wild Card entries for the event.
Crockard, a crowd favourite at the circuit once known as ‘Crockards Playground’ has not competed in the British Championship this year yet, as he has been concentrating on riding at home in Ireland.
He has just returned from two top ten finishes in the Australian Championship, riding for ex GP contender Craig Anderson’s team, and in fact, will fly back to Australia the day after the Desertmartin round to finish off the season riding for the Berry Fresh Lucas Oils Yamaha team.
At Desertmartin the three time British Champion will be mounted on his familiar No Fear Watt Kawasaki KXF450 machine, supported by local dealer Norman Watt.
With the local interest at an all time high with Graeme Irwin, Martin Barr, Wayne Garrett now regular points’ scorers, and local team interest with Tyco TAS Suzuki, Red Bull KTM UK, JAR Honda etc., this will add spice and interest for the local spectators, watching to see if the old dog can teach the pups some tricks.
