It may have been a last minute decision to travel to the UK Baja held around the Hafren Forest in Mid Wales, but Gordon Clarke made the journey very worthwhile piloting his TM 450 Rallye to the top spot in both the Rallye class and overall.
A fine achievement and congratulations to Gordon for a brilliant result. We did predict that Gordon could be the “Joker” in the pack where he would be relatively unknown in UK rallye circles and no doubt caused quite a stir and some disappointing riders.
Enduro .ie has no results to hand as yet but Gordon put on a master class of riding and we understand won the 140 KM tests by about a minute each. “ That was fast and furious “ commented Gordon “ I had to ride hard as the bikes gearing was set for the African dunes not for some 170 KM fire roads in Wales … I just pulled a tall gear in the corners and rolled off after 140 KM.H down the straights …. The rain helped slow it down a bit “.
Gordons travelling companion Brian MC Girr ( 450 HVA) also performed well finishing 6TH in the lites class.
