Hill Park
It was hot today and the MX and extreme ( really a MX test with logs) were baked dry . It alters the riding technique but not necessarily the result , largely the same as Saturday . Bellino is awesome on the extreme and GUARNERI showing his prowess as an MX rider but losing as much on the very technical Enduro test . It is exactly what is says on the tin …. Enduro and big time gaps appear .
Our roving reporter did find the ‘hill’ today ; it was steep and long but did have grip and a get out line for those who ground to a halt , Less than you would think walking up it ( phew ) testament to the riders ability . D. MCCANNEY went feet up the whole way and deserved the applause . 🎉. Danny had a good weekend .
Long Way Up!
The classes have tightened a little more following today’s results , Monni’s good form has helped HOLCOMBE following his problem yesterday and all classes will likely go to France to be decided . It is all very close ( see results on line) : http://www.endurogp.org/fr/results/2016
That is good .
Rider of the weekend has to be Giacomo REDONDI 1 winner of the junior but fast enough to go on the podium in the GP. Fellow Italian Monni would have pushed him hard but the young junior is both fast smooth and strong .
Stamina was needed in the heat and with tight times some capitulated and bikes cried enough .
Next year could see a change in the guard with Redondi, Holcombe and Watson all young and very fast . Bets ?
Italy and France will be interesting .
