4 laps on Saturday made up of 3 checks and one rightish check which all but one championship cleaned and no sportsman cleaned it . A smattering of clubman / seniors went clean and the rest lost minutes, some a few more a few plus . Michael Tobin making his first overseas venture lost a few but stuck to the task to finish both days , Sunday being a lot less than the 7.30 hour day on Saturday . It was long if not particularly difficult.
The Enduro tests we set in forest plantations , the sort that look great but quickly cut up to expose white roots and Ruts … Oooph Horrid stuff with no flow but the same for everyone.
Juan Knight showed he can still ride a bit and David had to call time when his hip got too painful to continue and it was windy … Real IOM wind that would blow you from your bike with the severity of the gusts . Frightening enough on the roads .
This was well organised and marshalled event , a brilliant paddock with a 6 mile out run and return at the end of the day . Well taped and marked tests if not necessarily the best tests we have seen and going with a fair share of road and lanes .
Overall thumbs up to the southern club , now all we need is some easy way to get on and off the island.
