The TEAM…

It can be difficult at the end of a long day to decide what to report on. Fuelled up at Huntington, looking at a 180 mile full dirt run I was thinking about the rattle snake 🐍. We have Seen black bears, beavers, a wolf 🐺, antelope, deer, desert rats and all sorts of other unnamed things ; no rattler though not that I had gone looking for one ; there he was right in front of me poised and ready . Why did I give my phone to Mike to charge, right when I need it.. a well . Back to the trail. Then it all happened right in front of me, JOHN Running between Mike and myself on those tracks with the screen of gravel, slippery pushed into a 70 right when the full fuel load pushed the front. JOHN was not on a 70 right path but a 40 Pointing to the edge … like slow motion over he went, high sided landing in a puff of dust at the bottom of the Ditch. Jesus, f…., wow, stop that looked bad. Well it could have been fortunately JOHN and bike was reasonably ok. Shaken not stirred. Calmed down, dusted down the said SUZ was extracted, pointed west and JOHN planked on board. Nothing for it but to ride on, there is nothing for 100 miles, some was tough. Reached a town, food, a beer, some Panadol. Yet another tat day … never an easy one.
