Tinahealy away

Likely Lads from the last year’s Tinahely Enduro.

The Gap pub is by now synonymous with the final event of the Enduro season …. It acts as the clubs start area, Parc Ferme, watering hole and even does good Pizza. It adds something to the event run every year on the October weekend.

Weather dependant ( like all events) TINAHEALY is another forest based Enduro, rocky in places but unlikely to cut into deep ruts , running north and south of the Gorey road in a figure of 8 around the same Gap pub. Two checks and a relatively long lap combine to make fair if challenging route. The test is unknown at this point but can be laid out on either side of the loop more traditionally on the southern side accessed by road, a long forest loop.

As the final event of the season it is well attended usually attracting some UK / Welsh/ Scottish and even Italian visitors. For 17 that is a? but either way none are likely to challenge Jordan Scott currently the MCUI best Enduro rider. Jordan , missing one round has not run away with the championship but a winner every time out. Barry Donaghy , Mervyn Griffin and Dave McNulty are likely to push but have they the speed to knock Jordan ? Josh Caldwell, Dave Crean , John MC Cann are in a tussle for the senior , its close ; Oisin Roe looks to have the clubman pace to win with Corks Luke Murphy unlikely to be beaten in the sportsman class , A stylish rider is young Luke.

Remember the clocks move back … the GAP beckons
