The ‘Baja 1000’ event originally planned for next weekend 13th August
has been postponed and will instead be run at a later date – Phillip
is planning to run a charity fund-raising event in its place. New
date to be announced in the next couple of weeks.
Entries will be carried over or if you wish to have a refund please
contact Phillip directly.
Fastlane Summer Series Rd3 Postponed
The FASTLANE Club wish to inform entrants that the LONGCROSS scheduled for OLDCASTLE on the 21th August has been postponed. A decision will be taken on whether to conclude the series as at the last round in Doon or to look to a future date .
The Club apologies to all entrants for having once again to modify our plans ….
CoC Nick Craigie: “ The OLDCASTLE venue has changed significantly since last season due to intensive cattle farming which has restricted a large part of the track . The landowner has left a runway through for us but I am not happy that it is entirely satisfactory and it will require a lot of work to cut a new route. As I have been involved in running 6 events so far this year I simply
do not have the time to move all the equipment and set up a new track .
Also and in light of the unfortunate accident we had at the last event and at the IRISH MX championship myself and the Club need to take some time out. The accidents, whilst accepting they can be part of our sport were nonetheless upsetting coming as they did on consecutive weekends. We trust riders may understand our position.”
