2012 ULSTER MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS DATES ANNOUNCMENT
The MRA are pleased to announce the dates and venues for the 2012 Ulster Motocross Championships, with all Championships running over 6 rounds again this year, but races up to three on the day, this season looks like being the most exciting, and unpredictable in years.
The new format means the days of double Champions is over, with Premier and Semi Expert riders running on MX1 & MX2 machines in the same race, but scoring separate points (and prize money), the racing should be intense.
Almost time to go racing again in Irish Motocross
Shorter races are the unfortunate consequence of the increased number of races, this will upset many purists, and indeed riders, but the upside is that races should be a lot more fast and furious with the limited time available, but over 18 races instead of 12, so fallers should be able to catch up over the course of the year.
Quads, Sidecars, Veterans, and the extremely exciting Under 21 classes will race on the same day again, with three races each, and with all classes running together in the solos, but again, separate Premier, Semi Expert and Clubman Championships. Quads will again be Premier and Clubman classes.
