Electraction TM’s latest signing hopeful of another strong BSEC result…
As rounds three and four of the 2012 Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship head to Llangrove, Monmouth this weekend one rider in particular is hoping to keep his momentum rolling from the opening rounds of the series – Jordan Rose. The Electraction TM rider was unquestionably one of the surprise performers at the BSEC season opener, and is looking for continued strong results this weekend.
Quickly putting the disappointments of a derailed chain at round one behind him, Rose bounced back at round two to claim an impressive third in the Elite class. But third was a result that could have been even better, as Jordan explains.
“Round two started off better than I had expected. I was fastest during the first two special tests but I still felt like I had more left to give. With the conditions improving I pushed harder on the third test, but as I jumped into a sandy bomb hole I missed a gear and it tossed me over the handle bars.”
That crash cost Jordan over fifteen seconds and dropped him down the running order. But with two laps remaining the former top-flight motocross rider was still confident of a strong showing. However, with David Knight back on top of his game, a win was now out of the question but a podium result was still possible.
“Even though I had only two special tests left I knew that I had the pace to recover from that crash. I pushed as hard as I could and in the end I was able to finish third – only two seconds shy of second place.
“Aside from derailing my chain during round one, I was happy with my performance at the season opener. I feel that I’ve got the pace to run up front in the Elite class but I know it will be tough with riders like David Knight, Taddy Blazusiak and Ricky Dietrich in the mix.”
“I think switching to a new team has helped me,” continued Jordan. “I had some of my best results in motocross when I rode for them so it’s nice to be back with Electraction TM again. Although I’ve never raced in Llangrove before, I think the course should suit me and hopefully I can aim for another podium result.”
The 2012 Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship continues with rounds three and four at Llangrove, Monmouth on March 10/11.
