The Paris -Dunkerque is a hiking adventure bike with dream offered to owners of “maxi-trails”. 3 days of bike, meetings, tourism , for imperrissables memories. There is no concept of competition on the Paris -Dunkerque.
Why organizing the Paris-Dunkerque ?
Because there are not many great hiking for big trails, we imagined a path made of roads and carriage roads, with still few surprises. A friendly meeting day where road and tracks lovers can come together around a same passion for nature rides. We will use small and agricultural roads open to circulation. Follow your GPS and be pleased by the beautiful landscapes.
Is Paris – Dunkerque for me?
Whether you ride every day or only on weekends, if you do not have time to go a week or two in Africa, you do not know if you are physically sharpened, so come test your skills at Paris – Dunkerque this hike is for you. Depending on your pace, steps last between 6 and 10 hours, it’s a hike by the duration of these stages. Note that the Paris – Dunkerque is not recommended with a passenger.
How to follow the course ?
After registration and a week before the course, we will send you the GPS track of the course with .gpx format. A simplified paper Road Book can also be provided on request. If you do not have GPS, there will be openers that you will be able to follow by small groups, or you can rent or purchase one of our GPS Tripy II. The advantage of the GPS is that you are not obliged to strictly follow our circuit and if you go away from it, it will put you back on the good tracks. What a great invention !! The track that we give you, you will be able at any time to avoid a path and then go back to the tracks, you are free to adapt your own circuit. The main thing is to get back on the evening with everyone. The course takes place on opened road, with suscribing to the Paris-Dunkerque, you undertake to respect the highway code. The organization provides common departures in the morning, but you are free to leave whenever you want, but the evening meeting will be on a determined hour depending of the number of participants.
For what types of bikes?
The layout was designed for trails whatever their cubic capacity, their brand and model, including the ” classics”. The difficulties are well suited to motorcycles market without special preparation except the tires which must be teats tires for the course ” extreme ” ( highly recommended for the course “adventure” ). You can do Paris-Dunkerque with top box, the tracks are wide. Allow crash bars, just in case, but this is not essential. We will cross villages, control your speed at 50 km/h in urban areas and avoid unnecessary shots accelerators. The exhaust pipes that spew excessive decibels are not desired, it does not prevent to have beautiful mechanical music. We have to leave a good impression behind. In the countryside, do not hesitate to greet everyone you meet and slow down as soon as you detect them. Especially do not go out of the roads, the future of our hobby depends !!

– 2nd day : Saturday, May 23, 2015 : Venette – Bertangles
– 3rd day : Sunday, May 24, 2015 : Bertangle – Dunkerque

Lunches are free for you to manage your course and your days as you wish, at your own pace. Be careful ! Do not abuse of alcoholic drinks at lunch ! Please make sure we spent three memorables days without accident.
NEW : In the evening, all participants and any accompanying persons gather on the bivouac : dinners are taken together in the tents of the organization, to discuss the adventures of the day. Bivouacs spaces are designed to accommodate your tents ( or sleep under the stars !) and are equipped with showers and toilets. Subsistence costs and breakfasts are included in the registration fee.
You are not required to participate in bivouacs, you are free to choose the accommodation of your choice on the course of Paris- Dunkerque. You can find HERE a list of hotels and B&Bs near bivouacs areas.
How much ?
The Paris -Dunkerque lasts 3 days, 22, 23 and 24 May 2015. You can download the route of 1, 2 or 3 days depending on your availability and envy. Registration entitles downloading the GPS track, dinners, bivouacs area and breakfasts. The price of dinner includes water, if you want other drinks bar will be available on each bivouac, at your expense.
Prices for a motorbike and a pilot :
