With storm Dennis battering the country, causing cancellation of almost all sporting events, TORC took the decision to run the scheduled first event, The CCM racing sponsored Hare and Hound at the Tinahely venue.
It proved a good decision, with the weather abating and a very good entry rewarded the club for their efforts. What a good effort it was with a well-marked 25 Minute loop over a surprisingly dry forest and fire road track. No complaints at all and the workers are to be congratulated on the route marked in very bad conditions on Saturday. Well done to all. Only one hilly climb needed to be bypassed during the day.
The Clonmel boys were on fire with the win going to the very smooth Dan Connolly with 11 laps followed by Mick Tobin and MBT/ Trials rider Killian Callaghan completing the podium on 10 laps. Grapevine tell us that world MBT rider Greg Callaghan will make an appearance shortly.
Keith Browne Jake Duggan, Krzysztof Kusiak finished 10 laps in the Senior with
Stephen Gilfillan, Aidan Nugent and Matthew Norris completed 9 laps and the podium places in Clubman.
Sebastian Kawka, Louis Smith and David Morgan ran in 8 laps for the Sportsman.
It is great to see such a strong entry where the Hand H series will prove popular.
Well done to the organising Club, Commdt MC Cann and crew. Thanks to all workers putting it together in atrocious conditions and to the sponsor CCM Racing.
