Directions:
From Dublin, on the M1 take the last Balbriggin/Julianstown exit, before the Drogheda Bypass (You should see 5-6 small stone sculptures on the left a few hundred meters before the exit) (the exit is approximatley 16 miles from the M50/M1 roundabout). Cross back over the motorway and take the next turn on the left (half a mile approximatley from the M1 exit). Turn right at the T junction you’ll see the Cock Tavern on the left after three quarters of a mile. Take the second small lane on the left (NOT the Army Camp enterance), approximatley 100m from The Cock Tavern. At the end of this lane you’ll go under a railway bridge and the track will be visible on the right-hand side. Be warned large trucks may not get under this bridge, they’ll have to take the next lane (Gormonston Railway Station) and come back along the beach when the tide is out.
From Drogheda:
Leave the town southbound on the N1 past Scotch Hall shopping centre. Pass through Julianstown and continue past the Apple Green petrol ststion on the LEFT hand side of the road. Take the slip road just past the station and go up towards the overpass. Continue straight on to the Cock Tavern pub on the left and take the SECOND left turnoff towards the sea. There is a statue of a horse across the road directly opposite the left turn. Go to the end of this road and the tracks are at the end of this road on both sides. The main track is on the right.
SPECIAL NOTE: FOR TRUCKS AND LARGE CAMPERS.
Your vechicle will not fit undr the railway bridge at the end of the small road so you will have to continue north along the N1 about one mile to the Delvin River Bridge and turn left to the beach. The sea is clearly visible from the main road. Go down to the beach and turn right along the seashore for about a mile where you will see a traffic cone out on the beach showing where to turn off. The beach is very driveable all the way up to the track. There is a four wheel tractor available if needed, call 0872352853 or 087 2382670 anytime on any race weekend. All racing at Gormanston is scheduled around the tides, check on the club web site nearer to raceday where the times of the tides will be posted up.
