ROUND 1 FIRST RIDER…
Hmmm . Round one of the Irish championship will of no doubt prompt mixed reactions … for the real Enduro riders and followers it was fantastic … a real Enduro challenge made difficult by incessant rain on Saturday night … difficult but far from impossible or impassable … everywhere had a Bottom but sure you need to ride ruts … either you can or you cannot . Those who hung in did Well and well done to them .
On the other side of the coin, newbies and / or less skilled pilots probably wondered what hit them but to get better you have to ride this stuff and learn . This scribe is in the former camp ( and did ride a lap late on) and define it as a rally good test .
No problem with the lap layout or decisions …. it was simply made hard by weather .
Without a toilet stop , Jordan Scott would have run clean … we have to await results to see

FOREST PARK – WHITE MOUNTAIN 2018
At a recent club AGM the riders wanted tighter checks and Longer laps … they got both in spades.
