” We are disappointed for the riders and the workers . A lot of effort went in to try and ensure we had a good lap that would be enjoyed by all …. three weeks of dry weather left the route dry and very enjoyable on Saturday evening ( we did a few laps ) with only showers forecast for Sunday . Unfortunately the shower lasted all day and was heavy and whilst the track was still very rideable
It significantly diminished the days riding . On the plus side it was possibly one of the few venues we could have continued to run in the conditions . Such is Ireland in winter .
Thanks for all those who came to participate and we hope despite the conditions most had a enjoyable day.

There were the odd few who fell foul of the small crossing at the start , we did put a heap of logs in the stream to make a floating bridge and it was fine on the left side , the right was a little more tricky and to be avoided . Most did . We will make a bridge .
Finally well done to the youths, all bar one finished both races and were keen for more ! Good on them.
