Killavullen 2 day Enduro

TEST START

Let’s put this on record …. This was a brilliant Enduro in the true Enduro sense …… a 65 KM loop with nothing too difficult but not too easy either. A very well marked route and 2 tests of 10 M + duration. You could not ask for or get it any better. Sure not everyone likes the rocks going but it was well interspersed with softer going and it needed attention to pick the correct lines … it was physical and hard on brake pads as always , half a lap could see them worn out . Bodies were tired at the end of 3/ 4 laps but that is what Enduro is all about.

Add the Ages ?

So well done to all the crew Liam K and Co, Colm MC Hugh and Co for putting in such a big effort to mark this event. Young MC Hugh Colm marked the route, timed it (and fell off and broke his finger) then rode both days and stripped it down again. That is tough.

Parc Ferme None Better

With a Parc Ferme in the local GAA club, the use of showers and camping area anyone who missed this year’s event should put it in the diary for next year. Great event, world class.

Despite the test length test times for every class were close with alternating winners,( provisional) on each day for each class.

How do You Get 7 Riders in a transit Van ?

Day one saw Dan Connolly take the overall from Mervyn Griffin, Day two Barry O’Donoghy got the nod from Dan Connolly .

The senior was won by John MC Cann on Saturday and Colm MC Hugh on Sunday, The Clubman by Sean Tobin on Saturday and a very impressive Oisin Roe on Sunday. Luke Murphy was in pole in the Sportsman on Saturday but Sean O’Doherty won Sunday. Every class was close on time.

Nothing left to chance at this event, job done and very well done.
